Preparation Directions

Slice chicken into long stripes, about 4-5 pieces per breast but big enough to grill. Combine all ingredients. Marinate the chicken for 2 hours, no longer than overnight. If cooking on a grill, place chicken next to the heat, not directly over the coals/flame. If cooking inside, place in frying pan and slowing cook on medium-low heat, turning regularly. Cook until juices run clear, about 7-10 minutes.

Additional tips, comments and substitutions

* Chicken breasts are really easy to over cook.  Take notes each time you make this dish.  Keep track of how thick and evenly you cut the chicken and how long you cook it.  If it comes out dry, adjust the timing next time.  Unless you measure, cut and weigh everything exactly each time, the cook times will vary slightly.

* I have made this dish marinating the chicken for just 15 minutes. It’s still good but better when marinated.
